LESS SITE VISITS
ENGAGE CLIENTS & CONTRACTORS
24/7 SITE ACCESS
3D Reality Scans are transforming the construction and design industry, they are an efficient way to improve job efficiency, engage clients in the design process by easily explaining site restrictions, reduce return site visits and have all the site and building information at your fingertips 24/7!
With a 3D Reality Scan, large amounts of data is collected quickly, safely, accurately and cost-efficiently. This data is then aligned to boundaries, AHD levels and MGA Coordinates. Site information can be accessed at anytime from anywhere, no more multiple trips to get missed measurements!

3D POINTCLOUD (RCP)
Point clouds are created from the scanned physical objects such as building exteriors, interiors and topographies.
You will always receive a pointcloud file (RCP), this file can be viewed in Autodesk ReCap™ or can be imported into programs such as Revit®, ArchiCAD™, Autocad®, Civil3D®, NavisWorks.
From this file you can:
- Trace from the scan to create accurate existing building models
- Slice the scan to view certain rooms or levels
- Accurately take measurements
- Keep as a photographic record of the site.
- Use as a background of the site to add your new building model.
High Resolution 360° photos are located in multiple zones throughout the site or building and mapped within the scan.
These photos can be viewed in Autodesk ReCap™ (free to download)
With panoramic photos you can:
- Easily obtain RL heights
- Get roof pitch and other building angles
- Accurately take site/ building measurements
- Keep as a photographic record of the site
-Export images to use as window backdrops

RESIDENTIAL SITE PLAN
A residential site plan is used in conjunction with a scan to obtain all the information needed to create smarter designs and to minimise construction and design problems.
We have two different types of site plans, a full site plan of the entire site and property and a partial site plan which is used for smaller projects such as carports or granny flats.
Our comprehensive site plans are prepared by our experienced surveyors and include:
Adjoining properties information
3D topography mesh
Fence locations, etc.
A Set-out is when our surveyors sets the building out as designed by the building designer.
We mark the design layout from the plans to the actual site, this is important so the builders can follow it during construction.
A set-out assists the builder to keep the building square and avoid mistakes.
A Set-out is usually used for:
Larger building work, for smaller building work we provide boundary offsets and grid lines.
After the set-out we can supply the required building certificate (form 16)
All approved construction work that is either close to a boundary or at the normal setbacks require a certificate from a licensed surveyor to confirm that the work has been done in accordance with the approved plans.
We provide this certificate after setout.
If the building work is being carried out without a surveyor, then we are often required to check the construction to provide the certificate.
Problems occur if the construction does not meet requirements and additional expenses are likely to fix the problem.
